As an institutional partner, the British Chamber of Commerce in Serbia is pleased to invite its members and partners to attend the Third Belgrade Hydrogen Conference,taking place on 17–18 March 2026 in Belgrade.

This international conference brings together energy companies, industrial leaders, financial institutions, policymakers and technology providers from more than 20 countries, focusing on the transition from hydrogen strategies to real projects, infrastructure development and investment opportunities.

The two-day programme is designed as a strategic and business-oriented platform, combining high-level policy discussions with concrete industry perspectives and case studies from companies actively developing hydrogen solutions.

Conference Programme Highlights

Opening Session – Strategic Framework for Hydrogen Development

The conference will open with institutional addresses by Dubravka Đedović Handanović, Minister of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Andreas von Beckerath, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, H.E. Edward Ferguson, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Serbia, as well as ambassadors of Germany and Denmark, highlighting the strategic importance of hydrogen in the region’s energy transition.

Day 1 | March 17 | Market Development and Industrial Perspective

CEO Strategic Dialogue: Shaping the Region’s Energy Future

Senior representatives of national power utilities from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia, together with representatives of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will discuss energy system stability, renewable integration and regional infrastructure development.

H2 in 2026 – Where Is the Hydrogen Market Going?

Experts from Hydrogen Europe, KfW Development Bank, the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbia), the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Montenegro, and the academic sector will examine how European hydrogen strategies are translating into real projects and investment opportunities.

Hydrogen Market at a Global Crossroad

International experts from Austria, Germany, Hungary and Saudi Arabia will discuss the role of Hydrogen Valleys and integrated hydrogen ecosystems connecting production, infrastructure and industrial demand.

Industry, CO₂ and Hydrogen – Who Creates Real Demand?

Industry leaders from companies such as Elixir Group, Titan Cement, Moravacem and Energotehnika Južna Bačka will analyse when hydrogen becomes economically viable for heavy industry.

The first day concludes with a networking cocktail reception, creating opportunities for participants to establish new partnerships and business connections.

Day 2 | 18 March 2026 | Projects, Technologies and Real Applications

Expert Presentation

International hydrogen expert Stephen B. Harrison (sbh4 consulting, Germany) will present practical strategies for achieving competitive green hydrogen pricing and discuss the economics of low-carbon energy.

Green Hydrogen: Industrial Demand, Production and Market Competitiveness

Conference Highlight: Industrial Scale Hydrogen Production

Companies including Messer, TITAN Group, LE Power and Alagan Partners will discuss how hydrogen production can scale from pilot projects to industrial supply chains, and what conditions are needed for green hydrogen to become commercially viable.

Hydrogen and Power System Stability

Energy companies, renewable developers, research institutions and financial organizations including MT Komex, New Energy Solutions, the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, EBRD and Go2Power will explore whether hydrogen can serve as a balancing solution between renewable energy growth and stable electricity systems.

End-User Success Stories

A key practical segment of the conference will present real-world hydrogen applications. International companies such as China Energy International, European Energy and 2G Energy, together with the German Agency for Business and Economic Development (Agentur für Wirtschaft und Entwicklung), will share concrete examples of hydrogen deployment in energy and industry.

The conference will conclude with a networking lunch, offering additional opportunities for dialogue between industry, investors and policymakers.
