Your invitation to an online concert to celebrate the Official Birthday of HM The Queen - this Thursday

Join us in Online Celebration of HM The Queen's Official Birthday


The British Serbian Chamber of Commerce would like to pass on an invitation from the British Embassy, Belgrade. 
 
On Thursday June 25 at 1715, The British Embassy will hold a short live concert to celebrate HM The Queen’s Official Birthday with a tiny number of socially distanced guests from organisations the Embassy has worked with during the last few months.
 
The Embassy will be streaming this concert ONLINE to enable everyone to watch.  
 
It will feature live performances by Isadora Žebeljan and Stray Dogg in Belgrade and a special appearance by HRH The Countess of Wessex’ String Orchestra and from the UK.  Music is traditionally a feature of Queen’s Birthday Parties.  

The pandemic and its consequences have had a serious impact upon the livelihood and wellbeing of many musicians. So, to show our support for musicians in Serbia and the UK, they are highlighting the work of funds established to support musicians at this difficult time (in Serbia #StayCreative set up by Mascom with its UK partner state51 Conspiracy, and in the UK by the Help Musicians #DoItDifferentlyFund).
 
Along with the live streamed concert the Embassy will be preparing some British afternoon tea treats to share with Lice Ulice street paper sellers and Red Cross volunteers in the local community.  Attached to this online invitation are recipes for you from the Royal Household for Victoria sponge cake , Fruit scones and Chocolate birthday cake so that you can share them too.
