Our Member Oxquant and The Alan Turning Institute present at COP26

A team at The Alan Turing Institute, supported by BSCC Member Oxquant, has been commissioned by the Net Zero Technology Centre in Aberdeen to develop an optimal energy mix artificial intelligence challenge. The aim of the challenge, which will formally launch in January 2022, is to find efficient pathways to the UK's stated aim of achieving net zero carbon emissions for the UK energy industry by 2050.

The Turing team and Oxquant presented at NZTC's COP26 fringe event in Glasgow 1–3 November. This was well received by attendees and served as a useful pre-announcement of the Challenge go-live in January.

A short introductory video about the Challenge is available and interested readers can register further interest at https://www.RangL.org.
