Continuity Trade Agreement Update 12/04/2021

During the visit of Graham Stuart, UK Minister for Exports, to Serbia last week, it was announced both by him and by Tatjana Matic, Serbian Minister of Trade that the UK Serbia Trade Agreement would be signed in the next few days.  The agreement is described as Continuity Trade Agreement that secures preferential access and paves the way for increased trade and investment.  The Agreement provides, among other trade benefits, tariff-free two-way trade in industrial products, together with liberalisation of trade in agricultural and fisheries products which will give exporters in both countries much needed certainty.  We do not yet know when exactly the agreement will come into force but this will be as soon as possible.

We congratulate both the UK and Serbia for resolving this matter, which has been concerning BSCC members greatly and look forward to it implementation.
