AstraZeneca vaccine to arrive in Serbia this month

Congratulations to BSCC members, AstraZeneca (AZ) and Aleksandar Tripković, AZ's Country Director for Serbia (and BSCC Board Director) for organising the first delivery to Serbia of the AZ's Oxford vaccine.  At least 125,000 shots will arrive in Serbia by February 20 manufactured by AZ's partner, the Serum Institute of India.  This batch will enable Serbia to continue its vaccination programme at the current rapid rate.  Many people have worked hard to arrange this delivery and President Vučić thanked his 'friends from Britain and Serbia'.

We look forward to this delivery being just the start - more AZ vaccines will be supplied through the WHO's COVAX facility.

This news accompanies Serbia having one of Europe's most successful vaccination campaigns alongside the United Kingdom.
