With its joint venture partner, ENKA, Bechtel is building the new Morava motorway, a 112-kilometer dual carriageway to connect the communities and businesses from Pojate to Preljina. The road will enhance Serbia's trade links with Hungary and North Macedonia. Alongside the motorway, the team will also build the country's first major flood defence system to protect areas from flooding, erosion, and subsequent water pollution. Together, the projects are expected to create around 10,000 jobs during construction.
